Dear Compton Colts,
Welcome to Compton Jr. High School. Over the past 52 years approximately 50,000 students have attended Compton. Many successful members of our community are Compton graduates.
Our school is a leader among junior high schools in the Bakersfield City School District. The success of Compton is a direct result of everyone working together to provide the best education for the students academically, physically, and socially. The students at Compton have immense school pride through high achievement, competitive excellence, and good citizenship.
The Compton staff encourages you to get involved in some of the tutorial and club activities at school. You will benefit from your participation while helping to continue the winning spirit of our school.
